Time Rewind!!

2nd week of june and my memory reminiscents the good old school days and the beginning of a new academic year.The first few weeks of school was always exciting and fun!!

Preparations for the first day would begin one week in advance.... the countless trips to the shopping arcades for clothing and stationary stuff. With new books neatly covered and some fancy labels....one would be filled with alacrity to go to school!

The first day would begin early,it would be a day when most of us would be experiencing the sunrise after a gap of 2 months.We would neatly get dressed in our new uniforms and rush to school , making resolutions to perform well in studies....with silent prayers to have lenient teachers for that year!

The whole day would be of leisure with very few classes as we would try our best to convince the teachers not to teach anything on the first day itself.....with a chorus of "plzzzzz ma'm" !

The ambience would be filled with noise as we used to catch up with friends after a long gap and discuss vacation adventures and the latest news(plus gossip and rumours) which followed by meeting new joinees in our class and trying to get acquainted to them.

While checking the time table for the year....our eyes would straightaway search for games,art and cultural activity periods and whining after checking the double periods and the strict teachers who are going to take classes for that year.The visit to the canteen would be refreshing as everyone had their share of snacks and colas accompanied by constant chattering.

Altogether, the first day would be filled with enthusiasm and it would take more than a week to pull the gear and get engrossed in the routine of classes and exams!

Time seems to be eternal.I have overcome those days,but still the memories are fresh in my mind....as nostalgic feelings are disclosed!
